Round two for the squares that were harvested as well as the addition of a new tomato! We wound up replacing 6 squares total – one each zinnia and marigold that didn’t grow, and squares for the spinach, arugula, radish that were harvested. The final square was a replacement for failed oregano.
You’ll notice that most of these seeds are from GrowJourney. This is a seed of the month club right here in Greenville, SC. All of their seeds are certified organic and they’ll send you new packets every month that are seasonal and ready to plant. I couldn’t be more excited to grow these! So excited, in fact, that I decided to plant another tomato and grow from seed. I got a new pot to grow this in…and a shiny yellow tomato cage (both of these along with the compost from Country Boys)!
In addition to the tomato, we got a rosemary plant and an oregano. The oregano has thus far been my nemesis. The first from seed didn’t grow, and then a gifted plant died. Sigh. So – a large, well established oregano came home today and got planted.
The remaining seeds that got planted today are another square of kaleidescope carrots, two squares of Bok Choy/Tat Soi (my friend Maddi’s favorite – she’ll surely get some!) and German Chamomile.
A few plants also got tied up with twine today – the yellow bell pepper and the cucumber.
Stay tuned!
