So, you may not have heard…. we had an eclipse this week and were in the totality. How awesome was that? We were fortunate enough to share the experience with a hummingbird!
While we didn’t get any photos of him, we enjoyed the experience. So now that we’ve covered that…on to the garden update! How excited am I? These are Hillbilly Tomatoes on the vine! Can’t wait until they’re ready to eat.
We’ve also got some Pimento Peppers on the way…. I feel like pimento cheese will be in my future.
Speaking of peppers, the Sunset Hot Peppers are still going crazy. I’ve harvested a dozen just this week and take a look…
Can you believe how many there still are? Japanese Long Eggplant looking great too. On the herb front, the oregano decided to go ahead and germinate. Still tiny, but coming along.
Basil is blooming like crazy and attracting all sorts of pollinators!
Overall, looking good for the heat we’ve had recently. I was going to plant the fall seeds during the eclipse, but of course that didn’t happen. Well… next week! Until then, enjoy the view from our porch.
