So, now that we’ve had a freeze, the peppers and eggplants in the garden are looking a bit – (how shall I say?) – rough. So glad I’m gardening in the garage!
Disclaimer – the above is not our Habanado, but IS what it looks like right now in the pot that I’ve got in the garage. I promise photos next update. We’ve got the Habanado, a Hillbilly Tomato (getting bigger!), basil, and a bedraggled cilantro in pots in the garage. They do get a bit of light from the windows, but I’d definitely call this mostly shade. Thing is – they seem to be doing well! The pepper has some blooms, so I hand pollinated with a q-tip.
The plants did go outside for some sun on Saturday as it got into the 60s. Plan is to put them out when it’s 60+ and keep them in. Experimental, but so far so good!
