So, big news here in Greenville! A Seed Library has opened at the Berea Branch of the Greenville Library! How great is this? Free seeds for library card holders.
I can’t believe this is the first post of 2019 and it’s already the end of February! My excuse is that it’s been cold and rainy. We’ll go with that. Now – that’s out of the way – on to the great news…
The Soil and Water Conservation District has partnered with the Library on this massive undertaking and the grand opening event was this past Saturday. (you may recognize me second from left). Library card holders can come in and take up to 10 packets of seeds with their library card each time they visit the library. We’re so excited to get gardening going in Greenville! This should be a great resource for local residents to have access to free seeds. There are 60 categories from arugula to zinnia, with over 120 different varietals.
