…isn’t happening this year. Sigh. We’ve had success with tomatoes though. The Mortgage Lifters are doing wonderfully well and producing tasty, red beauties.
If I’m honest though, the rest of the garden is looking very scraggly right now. Both Genovese and Cinnamon Basils are over grown, tomatoes are looking ragged and need to be trimmed and the watermelon left is full of worm holes. (no really – holes that worms made). The great mustard experiment is over and was not successful. Overall, I’m ready for the weekend to get it all cleaned up and cool weather greens planted. Onward to kale, arugula, radishes and beets.
I am going to be grateful for the lovely pimentos that came in. Aren’t they pretty? The tiny red pepper is one of the first ripe Tepin peppers. Warning – they’re hot!
Anyway, I’ll finish up with a pollinator enjoying the basil flowers. Have a lovely week!
