Wow is it hot! Heat index was 101 degrees yesterday, with a few more super-hot days on the way. I’m guessing the plants will be none too happy with this! Look at the zucchini wilting already!

Thanks for keeping up and letting me catch up! It’s been a crazy spring, that’s for sure! Greg is finally done with surgery for his hiatal hernia, out of the hospital, and recovering. I’m able to get my spring garden exploits up to date. (Thanks for all the well wishes!)

Cabbage worms – yuck!
OK – these aren’t my favorites. Came out to find the Romanesco broccoli leaves chewed up. Yes – it perked up after some cool days and a bunch of rain. Had to pull off these cabbage worms and squish them. Yuck!
I’ll have to keep an eye on these…
May Showers = May Flowers
Ok, so I don’t have that phrase exactly right, but that’s what happened!
As you can see, we’ve had almost 2 1/2 inches of rain in the past two days.
Thanks to AgSouth Farm Credit, I now know how much water we’re getting on the garden!
